We didn't get a booking for the first day of the ProAm Rockfishing Tournament so we took out Pat Rice's family, wife Christina, son Artie, and Dad Jay. We found fish early and his son Artie brought in a 37 inch Rockfish and we weighted it on the boat at about 24 pounds. There was a youth category and we had high hopes to at least place. Weather was real bad 20kt winds gusting to 25 or more and the boat, trolling on one engine was hard to steer. We managed to catch several more, but they were smaller so we released them looking for the big one. After a long day in the wind and rain we weighed in the fish at 19lb either our scale is off or it really lost weight, but it did keep us in 3rd place until someone came in with about 10 minutes left and knocked us into 4th. Good job Artie, Christina and Jay. We'll get it next year!

Sunday's charter brought in one of the largest fish of the year when Marty Thompson of Colonial Beach, VA caught a 45" 35 lb. Rockfish. They will be fishing the PROAM Tournament with us on Sunday. Good job Marty. They also had a 35" 25lb fish. The Rod n Reel sent the picture of the big one the The Fisherman's Magazine so don't forget to pick one up. We need a crew for Friday in the PROAM Tournament so call me.

We were part of an eleven boat company trip, booked by a roofing company. They had a private tournament for the heaviest fish. After limiting out we took 4th place with a 29.5 pound fish. They were a good crew and didn't loose a fish. They also shared their catch with us so THANKS GUYS!! The afternoom charter was 3 for 7 with two fish over 30 pounds. Pat made sure that last fish made it in the boat. You'll see in the video. Good job Pat.
