We took the Mark Lawson party out Sunday afternoon. Winds were blowing 20-25kts and we thought it may be a little uncomfortable, but they were blowing out of the west and we stayed inside to get the shelter from the trees. we fished in front of the radar towers in 28-30 feet of water and had steady action all afternoon. had it been after May 15th we would have limited out with the under 28" as well as over 28". We caught between 18-20 fish in all. We limited out with some nice fish although they were a little smaller that the fish we caught last week. Brad Carey mated for me today and the did a fine job. Justin was in South Carolina, but he will be captain next week as I am going to be taking a little trip myself. We are not booked next week so come on, call be up and let's make a deal! 888-6-FISHON.

Well, we had one more day in the ProAm Rockfishing Tournament, and we took out the Granese party. Since the was a 1/2 day charter we planned on keeping the first five, then catch and release until we got the big one. We had five nice ones on the boat by 8:00 am and started releasing. We released 4 more while we were trolling out to the channel. Yesterday, most of the fish over 40lb were caught in deeper water, so we stuck to the plan. We ended up not catching the big one but we came back with a limit and some good video. All in all we had a great time in the tournament. We caught a lot of nice fish, and plan on fishing it again next year. My thanks to everyone who fished with us, especially the crew from The Sportsman Magazine. As of now we only have Sunday afternoon booked so come on, let’s go fishing!

Saturday morning brought sunshine low winds and The Sportsman's Magazine. Sherry, Jerry, Larry, and Randy, brought a lot of fishing experience to the boat, and our expectations were high. We started with Sherry bringing in a large, but not large enough to win fish and we released it. Jerry did the same a few minuites later. After trolling across the channel, on the way back Randy brought in a nice 43 inch rock. we had found where the big ones were, and judging from the other charter boats within eyesight we knew we were in good company. There are certain captains out of the Rod n Reel who consistently produce and we could see a good portion of them. We trolled east to west the rest of the time and picked up more fish, but nothing bigger than the one we already had. At the weigh-in we were in 7th for a while then 10th. Semper Fidelis who was one of the boats trolling the same area came in with two real big ones to completely knock us out of the money. They ended up in 3rd and 4th place. Congratulations Semper Fi.! We still have Sunday left.
